Kimberly Beckstrom’s enthusiasm for teaching and working with young people began with coaching middle/high school swimming and track. Prior to coming to MVCS, Kimberly taught high school history, government, and economics for 11 years and 6th and 7th grade social science for three years. She has served as a district administrator of professional development, fine arts, and social science and also worked for the Orange County Department of Education, CA providing district professional development.

Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Social Science from the State University of New York and her K-12 Master’s in Special Education from Mercyhurst University. She also has her administrative credentials which she earned at Gannon University.

Kimberly attends Saddleback Church and her favorite Bible verse is John 15:5, “I am the vine and you are the branches.” This verse was one that she learned while attending Camp Mission Meadows in western New York.

Kimberly has been married to her husband Roderick for 11 years and they have 4 children. She and her family love hiking, family movie/game time, riding waves, and time with extended family and friends. She also loves cooking, running, and downhill skiing.
