Profile

Jeannine Jilbert loves math and her fellow math nerds, but at the same time, she understands that some students do not share her passion. She makes it her goal to reach out to those students who have struggled with math in the past and challenges and encourages them, along with all of her students, to grow and learn to their greatest potential. This is part of what makes Mrs. Jilbert such a blessing to the MVCS junior high team. She has been teaching for over 30 years, spending the last eleven years as a sixth through eighth-grade math teacher. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies, as well as her California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, from Biola University.

Mrs. Jilbert’s favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3: 5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” This verse reminds her that God is in control!

Mrs. Jilbert and her husband, Tim, were married for 29 1/2 years before Tim went home to be with the Lord at the beginning of summer 2019. She has three daughters, Lynsey, Lauren, and Carley, and one granddaughter, Kinsley Grace. Lynsey graduated with her Master's from Nazarene Theological Seminary. She is married to Abe, and they are both youth pastors in Texas. Lauren graduated from Cal Baptist University and is now working in mental health care. Carley graduated from El Toro High School and is now a senior at Cal Baptist University.
