Message from the Athletic Director

Message from the Athletic Director

I feel truly blessed and grateful that God has called me to be a part of the Crusader Family.  I am honored to be the Athletics Director with a highly respected athletics program, and look forward to working with each of you to continue to build upon our already strong competitive teams.

Together, we will create more than Champions.  Our student-athletes will learn important lessons in teamwork, cooperation, dedication, discipline, sportsmanship, integrity, and proper work ethics.  “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it”. - Proverbs 22:6

The athletics program strives to provide a safe environment for the student-athletes to maximize their God-given abilities in a competitive setting. While we raise them up with Godly character and prepare them to play at the next level.

MVCS provides a full program of school athletics and participates in the Parochial Athletic League (PAL). Students in the 5th or 6th grade are eligible to participate in the elementary “B” division while students in the 7th or 8th grade are eligible to participate in the junior high “A” division.

In addition, we offer a boys and girls cross country program for grades 3-8 and a boys and girls track and field team for grades 1-8. Our seasonal teams are as follows:

FALL: Flag Football, Girls Volleyball, Cross Country, Cheerleading
WINTER: Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Cheerleading, Running Club
SPRING: Track & Field, Soccer, Boys Volleyball, Powder Puff

The world of MVCS Sports is captured weekly in our “Crusader Countdown” so you can stay up to date on what is happening.

MVCS has such amazing families who display Crusader spirit, passionate support, and give of their hearts for the success of the program.  From the bottom of my heart, I thank you and am humbled to have the opportunity to team up with you and our athletes.

Serving Christ Together,

Rita Kandel
