Karen Fortune was born and raised in New York. She earned a Dual Master's from Adelphi University in Childhood Education grades 1-6, and Students with Disabilities grades 1-6. While on the east coast, Mrs. Fortune taught for six and a half years as a Special Education teacher in a kindergarten/1st combination class and two years in 5th grade. 

In 2010, Mrs. Fortune's husband had a career change relocating their family to California. She stayed home for three years with her son Jacob. She was then was offered a full-time Children’s Ministry position at Foothill Family Church. In that role, she oversaw the infant through 6th-grade classes for three and a half years. 

Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” This verse reminds her that when she speaks God’s word over her life it will do exactly what it was sent to do - not return void but accomplish and prosper where it was sent so that she can enjoy the fruit of it. 

Mrs. Fortune has been married to her husband Jorge for 16 years. They are raising two very handsome boys, Jacob (12) and Jadon (8). She shares that her "favorite child" is their 3-year-old King Charles Cavalier/ Poodle mix dog, Duke. In her spare time, Mrs. Fortune loves to serve others with her gift of hospitality. She also loves to be creative, many times her creativity leads her to sell her items at pop-up boutiques and events throughout Orange County.
