Do Good. Be Kind.

is MVCS's theme for the 2019-2020 school year and we are thrilled to see how our Crusaders have taken this theme to heart and responded with ACTIONS on our campus and in our community. Our theme Bible verse is:
"Be kind and compassionate
to one another,
forgiving each other,
just as in Christ God forgave you."
- Ephesians 4:32
Stop by the MVCS Chapel to see the ever-growing "Do Good. Be Kind. Chain" that is already wrapping around the room. Each link of the chain represents a kind action a Crusader was caught doing -- and we know there are so many more acts of kindness and goodness beyond these. Keep it up Crusaders -- we are proud of you!
Here are just a few examples of "DO GOOD. BE KIND." in action at MVCS:

Doing Good on Campus
  • Two 6th grade students volunteer their time before school one day each week to coach the current Battle of the Books (BOB) Club.

  • Groups of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students give up a portion of their lunch time each week to read to kindergartners during their library time.
Doing Good in our Community
  • MVCS students and families volunteer at Second Harvest.

  • MVCS school-wide project to stuff Christmas stockings for 250 children in need in Orange County.
Being Kind to our Military
  • MVCS students wrote cards and prayed for veterans on a special trip to visit various war memorials in Washington, DC.

  • MVCS's Veteran's Day Chapel honored our veterans, while teaching students about the sacrifices these brave men and women have made for our freedom. Students were encouraged to support, honor, and pray for our military and country.
