It is time for another installment from our "STEM+ in ACTION!" series. Last spring we read about Mr. Ehrheart's 8th grade students dissecting clams and squid and Mrs. Reeder's 5th grade students designing and building roller coasters. This issue features Mrs. Shumaker and her fabulous 4th grade engineers. Click on the photo on the left to read about their bridge building brilliance. 2nd Annual Golf Ball Drop

Last year's Golf Ball Drop was met with such enormous response and excitement that we are thrilled to bring it back this year! Click on the photo to the left to enjoy a video montage from last year's fun as the students clapped and cheered while hundreds of golf balls fell from the sky.

This year, each golf ball sold will represent a blessing in one of the following key areas:
1. New tools and resources for students
2. Angel Fund tuition assistance for families hit by a sudden financial hardship or for whom the withdrawal of a child is imminent due to financial circumstances
3. A teacher bonus and benevolence program that was initiated last year to help our staff with funds for emergency needs. Teachers are the heart and soul of our school, and we desire to bless them as they GO THE EXTRA MILE daily for our students.

We would love to partner with you to bless our students and staff. We are excited about where we are headed and for all that God has in store for MVCS.

To support our effort to joyfully help others during their hour of need, please go to to purchase helicopter golf balls and to register for our Annual Golf Tournament. Or, contact to make a donation.

MVCS Crusaders Are Accelerated Readers!

MVCS is excited to see our students challenging their reading levels through Accelerated Reader 360, a new program we added to our school this year. Click on the Accelerated Reader icon and you can watch as the books read count and words read count continue to climb. Keep on reading, Crusaders!

2016 TerraNova Test Score Summary Results

Standardized tests scores have value as one of many tools used to identify strengths, weaknesses, and trends for individual students, across grade-levels, and for MVCS as a whole. We are extremely proud of our students’ test scores and pleased with the continued trend for achieving even greater academic excellence. Please click on the link to view a summary of the whole school results as well as the results by grade level. On the grade level graphics, you will see MVCS’s scores in the red bar, compared to other ACSI schools in California (gray), and ACSI schools across the nation (tan). You will notice that across the board, MVCS scores are higher in every area tested: reading, language, and mathematics. Great work Crusaders!

End-of-the-Year Parent Survey Results

At the end of each school year MVCS asks parents to complete an anonymous End-of-the-Year Survey. It is one of the ways we determine the areas that are working well, and the areas where we can improve. We are committed to partnering with you to provide the best Christ-centered, student-focused, and academically-driven education for our students. We welcome your input throughout the year. If you have ideas on areas you would like to see improved, or comments on what you like or want changed, there is no need to wait for an end-of-the-year survey to let us know. Please feel free to stop by the office, call, or email to share your ideas with anyone on our administration team. Working together, we are helping our students achieve their greatest God-given potential. Please click on the link to see the results from the 2015-2016 End-of-Year Parent Survey.
