Profile

Michele Shumaker’s passion for music and love for theater is evident from the moment you meet her. It is her goal to grow that same passion in all of her students and to increase their love for the Lord and worship along the way. She wants her students to be confident in who God made them to be and to use their gifts to serve and glorify Him!

Theater, singing, and directing have been a part of Mrs. Shumaker's world since she was very young. At 16 years old, she was singing on the worship team at her church and directing the children's choir as well. Her love for theater was also cultivated at a young age and was her source of joy and contentment throughout her schooling years. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Fullerton, Mrs. Shumaker completed her credentialing program through National University. She has a K-8 Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in the States of California and Colorado with No Child Left Behind (NCLF) and Clear Teaching Credential and Cross-cultural, Language, and Academic Development (CLAD) certification.

Mrs. Shumaker and her husband Mike have been married for 25 years. They have two daughters, Elena, and  Annabelle. She enjoys shopping with her girls, going to Christian music concerts and Broadway musicals, relaxing at the beach, exploring Disneyland with her family, traveling to tropical locations, scuba diving, and paddleboarding.

Psalm 100 is Mrs. Shumaker’s favorite Bible verse. It reminds her to be thankful for everything God has blessed her with, to SING praises to Him every chance she gets, and to serve Him in everything she does. She knows she is His, He is hers, and His love for her will never fail her!
