MVCS Supports Our Troops

On April 13, 2017, just three days before Easter, Colonel Matthew Reid and a group of approximately 300 Marines from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, departed for a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan. Known as Task Force Southwest, their mission is to help the Afghan Army, police, and government re-gain security from the Taliban in Helmand Province. It is a dangerous mission and Mission Viejo Christian School has pledged their support and prayers for these brave men and women. (Click the photo for the rest of the story.)

MVCS's 2017 Spring Musical

MVCS’s 2017 Spring Musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr., was a splashing success this past weekend with four standing-room-only shows that dazzled and entertained audiences of all ages. We are so proud of our amazing Crusaders for their hard work and willingness to share their talents with us. They did a fabulous job! We also want to thank the show’s Producer Robin Williams (MVCS Fine Arts Director) and Director Michele Shumaker (MVCS 4th grade teacher) for their countless hours of extra work to make this whole experience such a blessing for everyone involved – the cast, the crew, and the audience! Additionally, there are numerous other teachers, parents, and community supporters who were instrumental in helping this be MVCS's best production ever – THANK YOU! Annual Christmas Mission Trip to Casa Hogar Orphanage

Each year MVCS students and staff join forces with MVCC to donate and deliver needed supplies, as well as Christmas gifts and treats to the orphans and staff of Casa Hogar Orphanage in Mexico. It is an all-day event full of fun playing games, making crafts, eating meals, and sharing prayer and worship time together. Each year Santa arrives and brings wonderful gifts for each Casa Hogar staff member and orphan. Click on the red video icon to see a video made by one of MVCS's 8th grade students. It beautifully captures the pure love and joy shared by all who participated. Thank you to everyone who donated candy for the pinatas, gifts for the children and staff, and the various needed supplies! We are also especially grateful to the students, parents, and staff who gave their time and love to make this annual mission trip so special. THIS is the true meaning of Christmas.
