Elementary/Junior High Philosophy Statement

Mission Viejo Christian Schools exists to support parents, church, and community in fulfilling their mutual responsibility to educate children. As a private Christian organization, we are committed to provide an educational program that equips and trains students to discover and fulfill God’s plan for their lives. Mission Viejo Christian School provides a variety of educational opportunities including a traditional core curriculum, Bible, educational technology, physical education, performing and visual arts, foreign language, and other co–curricular and extra–curricular activities. The Bible is integrated daily into all areas of the school program. In everything, the Bible sets the standard, so students will be able to interpret life according to God’s values and purposes.

Preschool/Kindergarten Philosophy Statement

The philosophy of our Preschool and Kindergarten: Our philosophy of education is to provide a Christian centered environment in which each child feels he can be loved and respected as an individual. Each child is encouraged and nurtured to grow socially, physically, and academically. Through this warm atmosphere, it is our desire that each child will gain confidence, self respect and love for God and country.

Preschool/Kindergarten Program Statement

Mission Viejo Christian Preschool & Kindergarten is open to all children between the ages of 2yrs. 9 months and six years. Our program is designed to meet the physical, mental and spiritual needs of each child through a variety of daily activities. Indoor and outdoor play is provided everyday for development of both large and small muscles. Music, rhythms, arts, and crafts provide avenues of expression for each child. Science, nature walks, books and stories all add to the child's view of the world around him.

Mission Viejo Christian Schools exists to glorify God and to prepare our students for an abundant life through knowing and serving God. Our curriculum emphasizes a biblical worldview, and our school program promotes an atmosphere of Christ’s love that encourages our students to obey God’s word and trust fully in God’s sovereignty. It is the work of Mission Viejo Christian School to provide an educational framework which equips our students with the skills necessary to aid them in their pursuit of God’s calling in their lives.
